SpeechBubble visit Corus Wales

Rob Forrester contacted Rosie to enquire about a touch screen health and safety induction for lorry drivers.  He’d been on an HSE forum to see if anyone knew of an effective solution to ensure the safety of visiting drivers from other parts of the world.

There are literally thousands of drivers every year, visiting the CORUS site from all over Europe.  Rob made contact with someone who recommended the Gate House Driver’s induction that SpeechBubble™ had developed for Aylesford Newsprint Paper Mill.

We’re now exploring how best to provide CORUS with an equally effective system that will also include, traffic routes, signage and record keeping to ensure all visiting drivers are adequately briefed on a regular basis.

BSC Open Health Summit

On 20th January, SpeechBubble™ were invited to participate in the inaugural BSC Open Health Summit at Ulster University. This event brought together Health and Social Care Professionals, HSC Informatics & Records Professionals, Government, Industry, Service Users and Academia;
The purpose of the summit was to discuss and investigate how mobile technology could be used to deliver real benefits in healthcare as we progress into the 21st century.

SpeechBubble™ were asked to address the summit because of their experience in the field of delivering multiple language solutions for training across a range of platforms, from desktop to mobile.
 We were extremely well received and our presentation went down a treat, mostly because of our down to earth, pragmatic and humorous approach to what, for many, is a bit of unknown territory. We’re excited about the possibilities of helping out people in healthcare to make things better for all concerned. If you found the presentation interesting or have any queries please contact John Hill and he would be happy to help.
