Birmingham NEC Show

Ash Cloud : 0 SpeechBubble :1: Meeting our resellers at Safety and Health Expo 2010, Birmingham NEC.

We love our reseller’s, those who share our vision about Safety Talks products and how they fit into the world of Health and Safety. So, when we heard that they were going to be attending the prestigious Safety and Health Expo 2010 in Birmingham NEC, we braced ourselves, faced the Ash Cloud chaos and headed over to offer our support. Jim O’Neil and Tim Wilson were chuffed to bits to see customers crowding round SETA and Safety Media’s impressive stands and even getting their chequebooks out (nice one Russell of SETA) for our Safety Talks.

Tim said: “….it really helps to see your products in the field, being promoted, used and most importantly, liked by the HSE community…we absolutely loved the experience and met some great teams on the day.”

Of particular interest was the latest guise of Safety Media’s Safety Talks App designed for and demonstrated on iPad. Julian Roberts, MD of Safety Media commented, “…we knew the iPad would be a showstopper and we just HAD to get it ready in time for the show…we are delighted with the interest in the new platform, and see great potential for it in our portfolio as a training resource.”

So determined they were to convey this excitement that they gave the groovy gadget away to a lucky stand visitor..! And so we return to rainy Belfast…with orders, enquiries and new found friends from the show…all in all a great way to spend a few days.

Bubble recieve Adobe Android invitation

Adobe Android Invitation SpeechBubble have been working long hours over April using Adobe CS5 BETA and Apple's XCode to package iPhone and iPad apps. Just when we had it all sorted, Adobe decided, once again, to throw down the gauntlet.
On the 16th April, they sent the development team an email saying that they had identified our iPhone App made with Adobe CS5 as one of the best AIR applications. This was more than just Adobe giving SpeechBubble™ a compliment but asking would we take this iPhone App and convert it too Android and Blog about it (could be that Apple and Adobe are not best of pals at the moment). This was very exciting as they said they would showcase it at the Google I/O in San Francisco. But we would have to achieve this mighty task for the 21st April. Five days! Talks about a challenge. There was a momentary shocked silence followed by 'Lets get this done!'
We're delighted to say the development team made the 21st deadline and you can read about (and watch) our Android BETA App about it HERE on our new blog. (Thanks Adobe for sending out the NEW Nexus One to test our new Android Apps on.)

Bubble developed app - Part of the iPad Launch Store

We mentioned in last month's newsletter that Bubble working with PatentNav Belfast based patent experts, were to be part of the iPad US launch. Well we are very pleased to say that Apple included the InventorAid App into the iPad launch store. Here is the link to the iTunes store, but you might need an American account to access the App Store to see it in all its glory.  Also thanks for the Belfast Telegraph for giving us central stage in the Business section of their newspaper with a fantastic write-up. The full story can be found HERE
